There are two excellent golf clubs in Madeira; both are not far from the hotel and have their special characteristics that make them truly unique.

Palheiro Golf
The Palheiro Golf is a beautiful golf course located 10 km east of Funchal  that enjoys some of the best views on the island of Madeira: great panoramic vistas over the Funchal Bay, the Desertas Islands and the sea.
The golf course was built in the famous Palheiro Gardens, in one of the nicest and most extensive island Estates.
This is an 18-hole, par 72 course with a challenging and exciting design.
The final hole is next to the Clubhouse.


Santo da Serra Golf
Golf has a long tradition on the island of Madeira, introduced by the extensive British settlement that traditionally has lived on the island. As early as 1937, Madeira had its first Golf Course, a nine-hole.
The 18-hole Madeira Golf Course was built in 1991 in Santo da Serra, a lovely traditional village set 700 meters above the sea level surrounded with a lush and green vegetation and 20 minutes away from the centre of Funchal. The course was originally designed by Trent Jones. Today it is a 27 hole, par 72. Its location provide some impressive views over the Desertas islands, Machico and the eastern most point of the island, the São Lourenço cape.
